Alan Murchison continued his consultancy role with British Cycling by looking after the riders fuellling requirements at the UCI Road Cycling World Championships in Innsbruck, Austria.
Alan will be further contributing towards future British Cycling success by accompanying the endurance track squad on next months training camp in Portugal. Hard training and optimal nutrition go hand-in-hand.
Kieron Davies capped a tremendous time trialling season by being named British Best All Rounder. This accolade is given to the rider who clocks the fastest culmulative speed over the 12 hour, 100 mile and 50 mile distances.
The Drag2Zero women's squad has been unstoppable this year. They finish the season crowned national team champions in the 10, 25, 50 and 100 mile time trials along with achieving 8 individual national podiums.
Bloomsbury Publishing are putting finishing touches to Alan's upcoming book THE CYCLING CHEF due for release March 2019 - we are very excited to see this come to fruition.
Performance Chef is the brainchild of Alan, Michelin starred chef and former international sportsman in athletics and duathlon. Alan started his sporting life in the Scottish endurance running squad before taking an enforced break from sport in order to hone his skills in the kitchen. After achieving his culinary success Alan was able once again to satisfy his competitive personality, this time in duathlon, winning 3 European and 2 World Championship titles in his age group. Alan now combines his two passions in life to help other athletes fuel their sporting dreams.
After studying medicine at the University of St Andrews, Vicky took up an athletics scholarship at Florida State University where she won various regional titles at cross country and track, capped off with 2nd place at the NCAA championships in the 10,000m. This sparked a desire to pursue a career in sport - initially in athletics and more recently in long distance triathlon, representing Great Britain in both. Vicky brings her wealth of experience as a professional athlete to the Performance Chef table.
